Nice to
meet you
We’re ecstatic you’re here.
This is a sisterhood. We are women who got tired of performing and decided to find out what’s underneath. Every class is built on a shared agreement: we hold space for ourselves and for each other so our guards can come down and something real can happen. We call it the Permission Field. The movement practice is part dance, part yoga, part primal, part pleasure-hunting. It's slinky, it's messy on purpose, and pure medicine.
It goes a little something like this.
We begin each practice with an Invocation, wholeheartedly dedicating our time and focus to self-nourishment and liberation. Movement is loosely choreographed to playlists that take you on a sensory ride. After a grounding somatic warm-up, we start low and slow, as if moving through water, on a spacious and luxurious Sensory Mat: a 6-foot round padded movement mat topped with the softest faux rabbit fur for slithering bodies, kissable skin, and delicate knees. You'll feel your nervous system calm almost instantly like it does when you're petting your favorite animal.
And then…
The fans turn on, lighting gets richer, and we let the music take us as we gradually build in pace and intensity of movement until reaching a fiery crescendo. Less temperature hot, more smokin' hot. We save time to freestyle as well, just to move however our bodies feel like moving, which has zero to do with looking pretty.
If it's our Choreo series you're attending, you'll see for yourself why our women nicknamed it the Church of Slow & Wild. It'll include a sexy full-length dance routine — floor, chair, or heels — that we'll break down into bite-sized pieces, being all yummy for no one but ourselves in the mirror. The choreography is always fun and simple so no one ends up frustrated or lost. We have major allergies to that situation.
In all classes except Choreo, we'll devote the last 15 minutes to a deep tissue self-massage using our "Lady Balls," then complete the practice with an Integration, a closing Benediction, and a Journaling Prompt that ties into that month's self-reclamation theme.
Perfection.
While Slow & Wild isn't going to resonate for everyone on the planet who identifies as a woman, for those of you whose fires ARE lit by it… those who LIVE to move your bodies and are deeply committed to finding out what's underneath everything you've been carrying… you'll know right where you belong.

Kris tells the Slow & Wild origin story
It’s about giving ourselves permission
What is Self-Reclamation?
Feel what you've been protecting yourself from. In your body, your marriage, your motherhood. Without detonating your life or your connections.
Build the kind of self-trust that doesn't come from affirmations, but from finally telling yourself the truth and not flinching.
Access your sensuality, your desire, your aliveness. Not by performing softness. By stopping the performance altogether.
Trading blame, shame, and the “good girl prison” for emotional freedom
“I thought if I could just learn more, understand more, and get to the root of things, I could fix everything. But it wasn’t my mind or even my life or marriage that needed fixing. It was my body that needed permission to feel.”
Kris Ward is a Relational Dominatrix and Sovereignty Coach, and the founder of Slow & Wild Studios, a private relational healing lab and embodiment studio in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
With a background in dance, somatics, Marriage and Family Therapy, and over a decade training other coaches, Kris brings both expertise and hard-won truth to this work.
The Slow & Wild Method wasn't built from a tidy ending. It was born from the inside of a 20-year marriage (still alive, still deepening, still the laboratory) where the patterns, the loops, the reckonings, and the repairs became her most rigorous training ground.
What she offers, she had to synthesize herself, since no single resource she found went deep enough, or held enough, or told the truth quite hard enough. From the somatic to the relational, the shadow work to the power dynamics, the ruthless to the tender… she distilled it all into something wholly her own. It took a lifetime to build. Now it's yours.
In the studio, she creates the conditions for women to drop into their bodies; to feel what they've been performing around, move what's been stuck, and remember what they actually want.
In private work, she goes somewhere else entirely. Into the specific loops and losses. The specific places a woman has been slowly disappearing from her own life. This is the excavation. And for that, you need someone who has been in the dark themselves, knows the terrain, and won't flinch when what's been buried finally surfaces.
She makes it safe to go to the places no one else can take you.
Founder Bio:
I am a Relational Dominatrix. I work with the body, with structure, sensation, and power dynamics (yes, straight from BDSM disciplines) to create the conditions where your nervous system can finally let go of what it's been gripping.
This isn't about control. It's about precision. The right container. The right pressure. So the grief you swallowed can move. So the rage you've been performing around can surface. So the desire you shut down years ago has somewhere safe to go.
You'll taste a version of this in our embodiment classes. But to go where the real excavation happens, that's private work.
are true.
The rumors
Wait, what is a Relational Dominatrix?
This is a sisterhood where women stop performing, drop their guards, and let their bodies lead.
Permission
granted.
This is how we do it.
1) Come as you are.
Come as you are. No shaping yourself into anything. Look how you look, feel how you feel, wear what feels good on your skin. All your moods, all your mess. Bring it.
2) Slow down, open up & empty out.
Drop in. Let the breath, the music, the aromatherapy, and the soft textures pull you out of your head. Move what wants to move. Feel what wants to be felt. Hunt for pleasure. Nourish the part of you that's been waiting.
3) Confront what binds you.
Things will surface. Patterns, beliefs, relationships that have been quietly suffocating you. Let them. They'll dismantle or reorganize themselves in their own time as you keep showing up.
4) Let your practice fill you back up.
Trust that what moved, moved for a reason. Journal. Share with a sister. Let it integrate.
Self-Reclamation is a journey back home to yourself—your soft body, your desires, your fire. We make that journey together, beginning with a calm nervous system. Move with confidence, love with devotion, and
